A graduate of the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, Raghu Sharma co-founded FD Design in 2000 alongside Architect Vaishali Sharma — a practice named for the concept of the Fourth Dimension, the belief that space must be designed not merely for three dimensions of form, but for the fourth dimension of time, occupation, and lived human experience.
Over twenty-five years, his professional journey has extended across architecture, urban planning, hospitality environments, institutional developments, and large private projects across North India. He has designed private residences of considerable scale, led industrial and commercial commissions, shaped experiential dining environments, and contributed to estate and farmhouse projects that require the simultaneous management of architecture, landscape, and long-term land stewardship.
What distinguishes Raghu Sharma's practice is the breadth of engagement that has developed alongside the design work. Long-term proximity to landowners navigating generational decisions, developers structuring phased opportunities, industrial families evaluating underperforming assets, and institutional stakeholders aligning complex project ecologies has gradually evolved into something beyond architectural consultancy — a form of strategic participation in early-stage development thinking.

His current areas of engagement include hospitality-led developments across North India's key tourism corridors, mixed-use environments, redevelopment of underperforming assets, township revitalisation, phased development approaches, and broader conversations around integrated land planning. Rather than functioning solely as a conventional architectural consultant, he increasingly participates in early-stage strategic discussions where planning intelligence, execution realism, and long-term thinking converge.
